Robert's Story
A life-long entrepreneur, Robert Amante believes that aspiring business owners must start with grit and determination, be prepared for change and growth, and craft a system to help them succeed with ease.
As president and founder of a Toronto-based construction company, Robert began with a single small truck and the ambition to succeed. He canvassed door-to-door doing work at cost, taking on projects for some of the most discerning clients including Ferrari, the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club, the Sheraton Hotel, and more. At the age of seventeen, he drafted a one-year-plan to earn $108,000 but failed to achieve it….by a mere 6,000 proving to himself that a realistic plan can succeed with hard work and determination.
Today, Decorock Inc. is a successful seven-figure business that continues to grow at an average of 25% each year, and Robert plans to continue by branching into scalable methods of growth such as franchising and licensing.
One of the key ingredients to his success is the proprietary composite material he created, now offered and used more widely in the Greater Toronto Area from new construction high-rises to retrofit construction projects. More recently, he filed a patent for a revolutionary DIY apparatus that is being developed for homeowners, he is currently looking to partner with a strong brand to license this system.
Having acted as a consultant for several larger general contractors, Robert has single-handedly saved millions of dollars for elite construction projects in the Greater Toronto Area by offering intelligent alternatives and cost savings.
He has also lent his expertise to early-stage business consulting for companies such as Herbal Magic and offered health and fitness tips on a weekly radio appearance with Toronto’s MOJO Radio. More recently, he has begun writing down his insights for aspiring entrepreneurs, spelling out the methods and hard-earned lessons that allowed him to succeed after years of trial and error.
Robert is a firm believer in philanthropy and started an event in 2012 where he hosts a day dedicated to helping families in need and raising money for community outreach.
